Connecting Google and Facebook

To collect and respond to reviews in Reveo, you need to connect your Google Business Profile and Facebook Page. This guide walks you through both connections.

Connecting Google

What You Need

  • A Google Business Profile for your business (formerly Google My Business)
  • The Google account that owns or manages that profile
  • Owner or Admin role in Reveo

Steps

  1. Go to Settings (desktop app) or More → Settings (mobile)
  2. Find Connected Accounts or Google Connection
  3. Tap Connect Google
  4. Sign in with the Google account that manages your business profile
  5. Grant Reveo permission to: - View your business information - Read and respond to reviews - Access Google Business Messages
  6. Select which Google Business Profile to connect to this location
  7. Done — reviews will start syncing within minutes

What Happens After Connecting

  • Existing reviews from Google are imported into Reveo
  • New reviews appear in your inbox automatically
  • Review responses you write in Reveo are posted directly to Google
  • Google Business Messages appear in your Reveo inbox
  • Star ratings and review counts show on your dashboard

Troubleshooting Google

"I don't see my business profile" - Make sure you're signing in with the Google account that owns/manages the profile - Your Google Business Profile must be verified with Google - Try signing out of Google in your browser first, then reconnect

"Reviews aren't syncing" - Initial sync can take up to 15 minutes - Check that the correct Google Business Profile is selected for your location - Try disconnecting and reconnecting

"I can't respond to reviews" - You need Owner or Manager access on the Google Business Profile - Verify your business profile is not suspended by Google

Connecting Facebook

What You Need

  • A Facebook Page for your business (not a personal profile)
  • Admin access to that Facebook Page
  • Owner or Admin role in Reveo

Steps

  1. Go to Settings (desktop app) or More → Settings (mobile)
  2. Find Connected Accounts or Facebook Connection
  3. Tap Connect Facebook
  4. Log in to Facebook if prompted
  5. Grant Reveo permission to manage your pages
  6. Select which Facebook Page(s) to connect
  7. Done — reviews and messages will start syncing

What Happens After Connecting

  • Facebook reviews/recommendations are imported into Reveo
  • New reviews appear in your inbox
  • Review responses are posted directly to Facebook
  • Facebook Messenger conversations appear in your Reveo inbox
  • Facebook review counts show on your dashboard

Facebook Connection Architecture

  • OAuth connection is set up at the business level (one connection per business)
  • Page mapping is done at the location level (each location maps to a specific Facebook Page)
  • If you have multiple locations, each can connect to a different Facebook Page

Troubleshooting Facebook

"I can't see my Facebook Page" - You must be an Admin of the Facebook Page (not just an Editor) - Make sure you're selecting "Pages" not "Groups" during the connection - Try the connection from a desktop browser if mobile isn't working

"Messages aren't coming through" - Check that Messenger is enabled for your Facebook Page - Verify the page mapping is correct for your location - Facebook webhooks can take a few minutes to activate

"I can't respond to reviews" - Facebook requires Page Admin access to respond to recommendations - Check your Facebook Page role under Page Settings → Page Roles

Managing Connections

Viewing Connected Accounts

Go to Settings to see which accounts are connected for each location.

Disconnecting

If you need to disconnect: 1. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts 2. Click Disconnect next to the account 3. Confirm — this stops review syncing and messaging for that source

Note: Disconnecting does not delete previously imported reviews. They remain in your Reveo history.

Reconnecting

If a connection stops working (expired token, changed password): 1. Disconnect the account 2. Reconnect following the steps above 3. Re-authorize permissions
