Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: April 10, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Reveo platform and services. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violations of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. Content Standards
You may not use the Service to create, store, transmit, or publish content that:
- Infringes intellectual property rights of any third party
- Is defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, or abusive
- Contains or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against any individual or group
- Is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit (unless operating a lawfully permitted adult business)
- Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
2. Review Integrity
You must comply with all applicable laws and platform policies regarding reviews:
- Review gating (filtering review requests based on expected sentiment) is prohibited per FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 465)
- You may not post, solicit, purchase, or incentivize fake or misleading reviews
- All review request recipients must receive the same options regardless of expected sentiment
- You must comply with individual platform policies (e.g., Yelp's prohibition on direct solicitation)
- You must clearly disclose any material connection between you and a reviewer (e.g., employee reviews must be disclosed)
- You may not suppress, hide, or selectively display reviews based on sentiment
3. Communication Standards
You must comply with all applicable communication laws when using Reveo's messaging features:
- TCPA Compliance: You must have prior express written consent before sending marketing messages via SMS. Transactional messages require prior express consent.
- CAN-SPAM Compliance: All marketing emails must include a valid physical address and a clear unsubscribe mechanism. You must honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
- 10DLC Compliance: You are responsible for proper A2P 10DLC campaign registration and maintaining accurate opt-in records.
- Opt-Out: You must honor all opt-out requests immediately. Do not send messages to recipients who have opted out.
- No Spam: You may not send unsolicited bulk messages to recipients who have not consented to receive communications from you.
- Content Restrictions: You may not use the Service to send communications promoting federally illegal products or services.
4. Social Media Standards
When using Reveo's social media features, you must:
- Comply with the terms of service of each connected platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile)
- Not use automated posting to circumvent platform rate limits or posting restrictions
- Not post content that violates platform community guidelines
- Maintain appropriate human oversight of AI-generated social media content
- Not impersonate other individuals or businesses
- Not use the Service to artificially inflate engagement metrics (fake likes, followers, comments)
5. Technical Restrictions
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or connected systems
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
- Use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the Service (except through our documented APIs)
- Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
6. Fair Use
Service resources are shared among all Reveo clients. To ensure quality for all users:
- Usage that significantly exceeds normal business operations for your subscription tier may be considered excessive
- Reveo reserves the right to contact you regarding excessive usage and may require a plan upgrade
- Reveo may throttle or limit access if usage degrades service quality for other clients
- API rate limits are published in our developer documentation and must be respected
7. Enforcement
- Reveo may investigate suspected violations of this AUP
- Upon confirming a violation, Reveo may: issue a warning, temporarily suspend access, permanently terminate the account, or cooperate with law enforcement
- For violations that pose immediate risk to the Service or other users, Reveo may take action without prior notice
- Client is responsible for the actions of all users on their account
- Reveo reserves the right to remove content that violates this AUP without prior notice
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to legal@reveo.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
