What makes a great thank-you

A thank-you touch is the cheapest loyalty lever a home-service business has. Customers remember the crew that paused, looked them in the eye, and said the words. When you can't be there in person, a two-sentence SMS or a short email does the same job — if you write it the right way.

Every template on this page follows the same four rules, because those are the rules that make thank-yous feel human instead of auto-generated:

Specific

Reference the actual service, the actual tech, the actual day. Generic thank-yous read as mail-merge spam.

Timely

A thank-you three weeks late lands wrong. Send within hours of the moment — the job, the review, the referral.

No upsell

A thank-you with a coupon attached isn't a thank-you — it's a promo. Keep the ask for a different message on a different day.

Human voice

Write like one of your techs would text a buddy. Contractions, warmth, one exclamation max. No corporate stiffness.
